AUTONOMOUS ROBOT WITH COGNITIVE NAVIGATION AND ROBUST
TRACTION USING HYBRID MODULAR CONTROL
National Engineering Robotics Contest (NERC) is a joint project to
promote research in robotics and its related fields in Pakistan. The purpose
of this event is to design and built an autonomous Robot which should be able
“To move in specified arena, comprising of a non-flat terrain with two ramps
of specified gradient, and insert wooden pegs into the peg-stands placed at
pre-defined points in the arena”. The robot was programmed to follow a floor
plan with line, overcoming obstacles and score points by placing wooden pegs
in four pigeon holes stands. The robot used sensors and controlled by a
microcontroller.
